PHILIP ANSELMO Joins CELTIC FROST On Stage In Los Angeles

May 3, 2007

Seminal avant-garde metal pioneers CELTIC FROST are currently out on a month-long trek with the legendary TYPE O NEGATIVE and Century Media labelmates BRAND NEW SIN. According to Tartarean Desire, longtime CF fans Phil Anselmo (DOWN, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, PANTERA) and Johnny Kelly (TYPE O NEGATIVE) joined the band on stage for a few songs at the Los Angeles show on April 20. The camraderie on the tour was also felt in Dallas, TX on April 25 when Martin Eric Ain (CELTIC FROST) joined Kenny Hickey (TYPE O NEGATIVE) for a song.

CELTIC FROST recently announced the addition of a touring guitarist V. Santura of the German black metal group DARK FORTRESS.

CELTIC FROST's video for "A Dying God Coming into Human Flesh", a song taken from their first album in 13 years, "Monotheist", can be viewed at this location. The fascinatingly gloomy clip was filmed by up-and-coming Swiss director Jessie Fischer (no relation to singer/guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer) in Zürich, Switzerland, in mid-August 2006.
